Nelson W. Berg - of Counsel (retired)
Nelson is now retired-inactive, and no longer represents clients after forty-four years of practice in Hopkins in the areas of Estate Planning, Real Estate, and Business.
Born in North Dakota, Nelson grew up on a farm. He earned a B.A. in History from NDSU and served four years in the U.S. Air Force. He moved to Minnesota to attend the University of Minnesota Law School and never looked back. Nelson opened his firm in Hopkins over forty years ago and was involved in the community in many ways, including serving as Mayor of Hopkins; Chairman of TwinWest Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; President and Founder of ResourceWest (formerly Hopkins Minnetonka Family Resource Center); President of Hopkins Center for the Arts, Inc. Board of Directors; as well as being an active member of the Hopkins Rotary Club.
Nelson loves time with his four granddaughters and two daughters, as well as spending time on Palmer Lake near Park Rapids and watching basketball.
