Tom is proud to serve clients as a fourth-generation Minnesota attorney, helping families to plan for their loved ones' futures, and to help families carry on when loved ones pass. From simple wills and living trusts, to probate, guardianship and trust administration matters, Tom has had the privilege of helping families and individuals in Minnesota assure that their loved ones are cared for, in this life and beyond.
Tom grew up in Hopkins. He has a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance from Metropolitan State University and a JD from William Mitchell College of Law (now Mitchell-Hamline).
His family roots go back to Park Rapids, Minnesota, where his great-grandfather’s portrait is still displayed within Douglas Lodge at Itasca State Park – the lodge that Thomas the 1st and his son Samuel built in the early 1900’s – known as “pioneer builders” in that part of the state. Thomas 1st was also a probate judge and Justice of the Peace.
Tom’s grandfather, Thomas the 2nd, headed the law firm of Myers and Myers in the 1940s, while Tom’s dad, Thomas the 3rd, practiced in the Trust Department at the former Farmers and Mechanics Bank in Minneapolis, later to become Executive Director of the Minnesota State Bar Association before his untimely death in 1966 at the age of 49.
In his free time, Tom enjoys spending time with his wife, Mary and two adult children, Monica Jane and Thomas C. Myers, V.
Tom is admitted to Minnesota Bar Association.
